Note: Two, 9th Infantry division, Officers, NCO / EM's clubs existed in My Tho.
One was located on ground and the other on the water aboard barges with the divisional barracks. Although these tokens were interchangeable between the clubs the Barge token were marked with a B indicating their origin.
This is a land token.
The Old Reliables ( 9th Infantry Division) arrived in Vietnam out of Fort Riley in December 1966 and remained in-country until August 1969.
Operating primarily in the, Viet Cong controlled and occupied, ' Rung Sat Special Zone ' of the Mekong delta the 9th Infantry Divisions 2nd Brigade became part of the Mobile Riverine Force based at My Tho (Dong Tam).
The 2nd Brigade continued to operate with US Naval Seals, US and RVN Marines throughout Rung Sat until the Tet Offensive of 1968 when it joined with it's 1st Brigade in the defence of Saigon. For the remainder of 1968 and for their stay in Vietnam the 9th Infantry were mobile throughout Military Tactical Zone IV (back to the Mekong Delta).
